Warhammer 40,000: Astra Militarum – Baneblade

The Baneblade is more rolling fortress than vehicle, an super-heavy tank with overwhelming firepower. Wherever a Baneblade is sent into battle, it becomes the anchor point of the battle line, with Imperial soldiers and even smaller tanks seeking cover behind it, while its colossal main gun and countless other weapons send the enemy to the afterlife.

From this gigantic multi-part plastic kit, you can build a super-heavy Baneblade, a thundering tank that boasts an entire arsenal and can absorb damage that would wipe out a small army. If you're looking for an anchor around which to build your column, a super-heavy tank is a great choice that will shock your enemies and soak up incredible amounts of firepower, thus sparing the rest of your army. It's armed with a mighty baneblade cannon and a co-axial autocannon in the turret, as well as a demolisher cannon mounted on the front hull, 2 lascannons in the side sponsons, twin heavy bolters on the front hull, 2 twin heavy flamers in side sponsons, and a pintle-mounted heavy stubber on the turret. The flamers in the sponsons can be replaced by 2 more twin heavy bolters, and you can add additional sponsons that can carry extra lascannons and either twin heavy bolters or twin heavy flamers. That's A LOT of firepower.

Cosmetic options are also included, such as additional storage, extra armour plating on the tracks, towing hooks, fuel, and options for gunners and tank commanders in the hatches – including a choice of different heads. Alternatively, you can build the tank commander on foot, armed with a bolt pistol or laspistol in one hand and a power sword or pointing other hand. No matter how you build the tank, your bits box will appreciate all the extra plastic that will be left over.

This massive kit can alternatively be built as one of a variety of other super-heavy tanks:

- Banehammer – armed with a Banehammer cannon to slow aggressive enemies

- Doomhammer – armed with a titan-felling Magma Cannon and troop transport capacity

- Hellhammer – armed with a Hellhammer cannon for close-range warfare

- Shadowsword – armed with a Volcano Cannon that turns tanks into slag

- Stormlord – armed with a Vulcan Mega-bolter and plenty of troop transport capacity

- Stormsword – armed with a bunker-busting Stormsword Siege Cannon

- Striker – armed with a Striker cannon that devastates vehicles and fortifications at extreme range

This kit consists of an impressive 381 plastic components and a Baneblade transfer sheet with 253 decals.

This miniature is unpainted and requires assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
