A strong core of dependable and adaptable warriors, able to lay down fire as they advance or hold ground, is a valuable asset to any tactician. In the case of strike forces augmented with Primaris Space Marines, this role is filled by Intercessor Squads. Able to unleash salvos of overlapping fire, these squads often form the flexible fighting core of newly founded Primaris Chapters – though of course many established Chapters willingly make use of their skills, fielding them alongside Tactical Squads.
This multi-part plastic kit contains the components necessary to assemble a 10-man Primaris Intercessor Squad. Clad in Mk X Tacticus armour, they prove to be a dependable and adaptable troop choice, each armed with a bolt rifle. Their bolt rifles can be modelled as 1 of 3 variants – the standard bolt rifle with sickle magazine, auto bolt rifle with overcharger and box magazine, or stalker bolt rifle with longer-range sight and an extended magazine. There are 10 right shoulder pads decorated with the Intercessors’ iconography – enough to cover each of the arm options, including 2 with an open comms relay, 2 arms holding bolt pistols, 2 pointing, and 2 wielding combat knives. The kit comes with a total of 24 heads, 12 of which are helmeted, and 12 bare.
The models can be assembled as either a 10-man squad, a squad of 9 Intercessors with a Sergeant or 2 separate 5-man squads, each with a Sergeant of their own. Sergeants feature unique heads, and a helmet stowed at the waist, and unique tilting plates to help them stand out.
Showing the Intercessors’ versatility, the kit features lots of extra details to add to the armour – 12 pistol holsters (2 empty, for Intercessors holding their pistol), 10 ammo and grenade pouches, 6 combat knife scabbards (4 empty), 4 single grenade pouches and 4 bolt pistol ammo pouches.
The Primaris Intercessors kit is supplied as 266 components, and includes 10 Citadel 32mm Round bases and a transfer sheet.
