Warhammer 40,000: Tau Empire – XV104 Riptide Battlesuit

The XV104 Riptide is the absolute pinnacle of the Earth Caste’s Battlesuit technology. Twice the size of an XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, it is able to move with the same graceful, fluid manner of its smaller cousins rather than the ungainly, mechanical motion displayed by the walkers of the Imperium with their crude servomotors.

The XV104 Riptide brings a whole new level of evolution to the T’au Battlesuit. First of all, the model is truly enormous, towering over the rest of the T’au army – even other Battlesuits and tanks. Its frame is covered in sleek, elegant armour, vents and grills. Ball joints make it a remarkably poseable model, despite its immense size, and its legs and arms can be positioned in many different ways. But whether you pose it standing defiant or kneeling to fire, it will make a truly unique and dynamic centrepiece to your T’au army. As well as three different head options, the kit also comes with a range of weapon options including a heavy burst cannon, a twin-linked smart missile system, fusion blasters and a Riptide shield generator. For those who still want more, there are two Shielded Missile Drones as well.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 108 components and a sheet of T’au transfers, with which to make one XV104 Riptide Battlesuit and two Shielded Missile Drones.

This kit is supplied unpainted and requires assembly. We recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel paints.
