Horus Heresy: Legions Imperialis – Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports

One of the heaviest assault transports in the Legiones Astartes' arsenal, the Mastodon is reserved for use against the most heavily protected positions. Many times larger than the Land Raider, it can carry over forty Space Marines through the most dangerous of battlefields, protecting them from enemy fire. The Mastodon's primary task is to transport troops directly to breaches it creates with its front-mounted Siege Melta Array. Few fortifications can withstand such a fearsome weapon, and the Legionaries can penetrate directly through molten rock and steel into the heart of the enemy position.

This multipart plastic kit allows you to build two Mastodon Super-heavy Assault Transports, massive vehicles for your Legiones Astartes armies in Legions Imperialis. Their void shields make them the best possible transport for infantry that can withstand tremendous firepower, while your enemy tries in vain to tear it down before it can deliver its deadly cargo and unleash a stream of elite infantry directly into the heart of the action. Its Siege Melta Array is designed to breach enemy bunkers, but can also fell Knights and even Titans. The Mastodon has a Skyreaper Battery to keep enemy aircraft at bay, as well as side-mounted Heavy Flamers to eliminate infantry. The kit also includes a choice of weapons for the side turrets, Heavy Bolters or Lascannons, and there are two hatches, one of which can be built open with a Tank Commander overseeing the battlefield.

These miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly – we recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints.
